Field Pad is our generic app for data collection. Based on the Vortex workflow engine, the app is completely configurable by the user. Anyone with some basic skills in XML can understand and write flows using the Vortex Block Language. Blocks are executed to create user interactions, specify variables to collect, run rules, select page layouts etc.
- Forms can be stand alone, in hierarchies or attached to GIS objects.
- A simple Geographical Information System (GIS) included in Field Pad allows import and/or manual creation of GIS objects on layers on top of a map background.
- Vortex supports complex logical rules that enables error corrections at the source.
- Field Pad works on-line, refreshing control files and delivering collection data, or off-line using cached files, storing collected data.
- Changes required during the data collection season can be uploaded directly to the field personnel, allowing for fast correction at low cost.
- Collected data can be exported to the Cloud in either GeoJSON, JSON, or CSV format.
